The Electric Motion ESCAPE R 2026 is built for riders who want to go beyond traditional trial riding. Combining the agility and precision of a trial motorcycle with increased range, a higher seat and equipment designed for exploration, the ESCAPE R is made for technical trails, freeride and longer off-road adventures.

For 2026, Electric Motion has taken the ESCAPE R to a completely new level with a new 18 kW powertrain, a large 3.5 kWh battery, redesigned swingarm, hydraulic clutch, TFT display and the latest generation of Electric Motion electronic riding systems.

With a weight of only 83 kg, up to 740 Nm of torque at the rear wheel and European road homologation, the ESCAPE R combines extreme off-road capability with impressive versatility.

NEW 18 kW ELECTRIC POWERTRAIN

The 2026 ESCAPE R receives Electric Motion's latest-generation electric motor.

The new powertrain has been developed to provide more power while maintaining the smoothness and precise throttle response required when riding difficult technical terrain.

3.5 kWh LONG-RANGE BATTERY

At the heart of the ESCAPE R is a new 3,500 Wh Li-Ion battery, developed to provide an excellent balance between range and weight.

The ESCAPE R offers up to approximately 3.5 hours of riding, depending on terrain, riding style and conditions.

Despite its large battery and powerful motor, the ESCAPE R weighs only approximately 83 kg.

This extremely low weight compared with conventional enduro motorcycles makes the bike easy to control in technical terrain and particularly agile on steep climbs, tight trails and difficult obstacles.

HYDRAULIC CLUTCH

The ESCAPE R features a hydraulically operated 3-disc diaphragm clutch.

The clutch allows the rider to precisely control how the electric motor's power reaches the rear wheel – particularly useful for technical climbs, obstacles and low-speed maneuvers.

It combines the immediate response of an electric motor with the precise clutch control familiar from high-performance off-road motorcycles.

UP TO 85 KM/H

The ESCAPE R isn't limited to slow technical riding.

With a maximum speed of up to 85 km/h in off-road/private-area configuration, it has the performance required for faster trails and transfers between technical sections.

This makes it significantly more versatile than a pure competition trial motorcycle.

ROAD LEGAL – EUROPEAN HOMOLOGATION

One of the biggest advantages of the ESCAPE R is its European road homologation.

This means the motorcycle combines serious off-road capability with the possibility of road registration, subject to the applicable national registration and licence requirements.

The ESCAPE R therefore bridges the gap between a lightweight trial motorcycle and an electric enduro/adventure bike.

TFT DISPLAY

The new-generation TFT display provides the most important riding information directly in front of the rider.

EM CONNECT

EM Connect comes standard on the ESCAPE R 2026.

Using the Electric Motion smartphone app, riders can personalize various motorcycle settings and monitor the bike.

3 RIDING MAPS

The ESCAPE R offers 3 standard riding maps, allowing the motorcycle's character to be adapted to different terrain and riding situations.

With EM Connect, additional customization of the motor behavior is possible.

From precise low-speed technical riding to more aggressive freeride, the ESCAPE R can be configured to suit the rider.

TKO – TICK OVER

Electric Motion's TKO system creates an idle-like motor behavior similar to a combustion motorcycle.

The system helps provide smoother low-speed response and improved traction in technical terrain.

TKO can be managed through EM Connect according to rider preference.

FRB – REGENERATIVE ENGINE BRAKING

The FRB regenerative braking system provides controlled electric motor braking while recovering energy during deceleration.

This gives the motorcycle a natural engine-braking sensation and provides additional control during steep descents.

An optional PRB-R progressive regenerative brake is also available.

ANTI-REVERSE

Electric Motion's Anti-Reverse system helps prevent the motorcycle from rolling backwards in difficult situations.

This is particularly useful when stopping on steep climbs or when positioning the motorcycle on technical obstacles.
